The ring features a blue oval gemstone that surrounded by a halo of gemstones. The gemstones are created royal blue sapphires. Most blue gemstones from the Victorian era were artificial, and were often called “paste” at that time. The gemstones show quite a bit of wear, such as scratches and dings see magnified photo. The central gemstone is bezel-set, completely framed in gold. All the gemstones in the halo are securely set in lovely five-prong settings. The mounting is well-crafted and sturdy, with fine engraving and detail. This is a stunning ring with a large presence due to its size and vivid royal blue color.
